Hi Maryanne, a few more tips: make sure the nuts and cereal lay in a very flat layer. Any points where there’s a pocket will create a crack = crumbly bars. Also, use a really sharp knife. Hope this helps. 🙂

These bars are absolutely addictive flavour wise!! However, I am having a time getting them to stay together when cutting into bars. I have packed them tightly, baked them thoroughly and made sure they were completely cooled. I even tried chopping the nuts before mixing, but nothing seems to work. I end up with maybe 6 or 7 partial bars and the rest ends up in crumbled mess. I do just pop the remains in a container and still use them to snack on but I could really use some suggestions on how to keep them intact so I can put them in my husband’s lunch bag.

You know the bars are ready when they have a rich, golden color throughout and the edges have a nice crispiness to them. Make sure not to overbake them, as the nuts will start to burn and turn a dark brown. Hope this helps! 🙂
